UPDATE: Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has been handed a one-game ban from the MRC for his trip on Jimmy Roberts during the Roosters’ qualifying final win over the Rabbitohs.
Waerea-Hargreaves will have to contest the charge if he is to feature in the Roosters’ preliminary final match.
Contesting the charge will not carry any further risk as it carries a maximum one-game penalty.
