Emotional scenes as Broncos debutants receive their jerseys
Brisbane Broncos fans got a glimpse of the future as the club downed the Cronulla Sharks in a thriller away from home.
Broncos coach Anthony Seibold was rewarded for handing club debuts to four players in Herbie Farnworth, Xavier Coates, Keenan Palasia and Rhys Kennedy, as Brisbane proved to be more than just competitive, with a late Jake Turpin try and Kotoni Staggs’ fourth conversion of the day securing a two-point victory.
And in vision released by the club, it’s clear just how much it meant to the players to make their debut for the Broncos, with both Coates and Farnworth overcome after receiving their jerseys.
