Gus Gould cops it on social media for apparent Penrith bias in grand final commentary
With the Panthers conceding an early lead to the Storm in the NRL grand final, you could forgive Phil Gould for being a bit grumpy.
But the veteran commentator had an unfortunate slip of the tongue midway through the first half, accidentally saying James Fisher-Harris gave away a penalty for ‘the late s–t’, after a hit on Brandon Smith.
Gould said he believed the Panthers were on top in the game even as the Storm raced to a commanding lead in the first half.

A lot of @storm fans unhappy with Gus Gould’s assessment of the first half. Any neutrals wanna give me their opinion? #NRLGF

Melbourne are up by 16.
Gus Gould "I honestly feel like they're on top."
Yes. He actually said that. #NRLGF
