Jackson Hastings' emotional interview after MOTM performance helps Salford into the GF
Former Sydney Roosters and Manly Sea Eagles playmaker Jackson Hastings has continued his rise in England’s Super League, steering Salford into the Grand Final with a man of the match display against Wigan.
The 23-year-old was crucial as the Red Devils silenced the Warriors, winning by 24 points in a 28-4 demolition.
Speaking after the match, an emotional Hastings showed just how much the win meant to him and the club, telling Sky Sport he’d never “cried [out of] happiness before”.
In a classy act too, Hastings told the broadcasters he believed teammate Gil Dudson was more worthy of the MOTM award.
Hastings has been a standout for the Red Devils this season and is considered one of the favourites for the Man of Steel award.
