Paul Gallen furious over the timing of Bronson Xerri's drug test results
Former Cronulla captain Paul Gallen has lashed out at ASADA over the timing of the release of the positive drug test results of teenager Bronson Xerri.
Gallen questioned whether there was a conspiracy with how the results were released just days out from the start of the NRL season when the tests were done back in November.
Speaking on Wide World of Sports radio Gallen believes the Sharks have every right to be upset considering they’d released another star player to stay within the salary cap.
“They released Josh Morris to go to the Roosters,” Gallen said.
“Had this been dealt with in November which it probably should have been, there’s no salary cap issues and they’ve still got a really good centre there in Josh Morris.”
