Should Cameron Munster have been suspended for this 'dangerous' cannonball tackle?

Melbourne Storm’s Cameron Munster has likely escaped a suspension from the Match Review Committee following his side’s loss to the Canberra Raiders.

For the first time in their history, the Storm lost after earlier leading 18-0, with the Green Machine running over the top of the league-leaders in the second half.

However the Storm might be lucky to have Munster for next week after the star playmaker made an ugly looking cannonball tackle on Canberra’s Sia Soliola, which left the prop the worse for wear.

Though Munster was offered a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge, he will avoid suspension if he takes an early plea.

Meanwhile, Canberra’s Joseph Tapine can accept a $1,150 fine for his scuffle with the Storm’s Nelson Asofa-Solomona.
