The Chiefs will welcome the Brumbies to Hamilton as the losing finalists from the AU and Aotearoa competitions go head to head. Both were involved in incredibly tight Round 1 match-ups and will know that they are in for a tense thriller in Round 2. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog starting from 4:55 AEST on Saturday.

Neither side has made too many changes, but there are some great stories in the ones that have been made.

For the Chiefs, club legend Liam Messam is going to start as he replaces Pita Gus Sowakula, who heads to the bench. Any moment you get to see Messam on the field is a good one and the back-rower will get a huge roar from the home crowd.

The other feel-good story for the Chiefs is the return of Atu Moli, who earns his spot on the bench after being out for over two years through injury.

In other changes in the pack, Samisoni Taukei’aho and tighthead prop Sione Mafileo will replace Angus Ta’avao and Nathan Harris.

Meanwhile for the Brumbies, there is another great story on offer as the Lonergan brothers will start together for the club they’ve supported since childhood.

The rest of the side is settled and after two heartbreaking weeks will be desperate to get the win their efforts deserve.

Prediction
Losing two games in the five-round tournament is pretty hard to come back from, so the Brumbies will play as if this is a final. The Chiefs have won their last three games at home but have struggled to find the same rhythm in their last two matches that saw them reach the Aotearoa final.

This should be a very close game and the Brumbies have the more controlled game style to steal the win.
