National pride, the Calcutta Cup and very possibly the Six Nations, go on the line tonight when England and Scotland do battle at Twickenham tonight. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog from 4am AEDT.

There are three possible winners of the Six Nations: Wales take the crown if they win tonight vs Ireland, Ireland with a bonus point win can clinch it – if England lose, while England can win if Ireland get the victory.

After England upset Ireland in Dublin to begin the tournament, and thrashed France a week later, Wales stunned them in Cardiff to quash grand slam hopes.

A pleasing win against Italy last week kept them in the hunt for the title, if results go their way.

As for Scotland, they held off Italy to kick off their campaign, a nine-point loss to Ireland and a defeat by 17 to France shut down any hopes of winning the series.

A huge defensive display by Wales in the second half last week shut down Scotland, and now they find themselves fourth on six points, and, should France beat Italy, will fall to fifth.

Scotland have been plagued by injuries since even before the campaign: Blair Kinghorn, Jamie Richie and Tommy Seymour the latest to go down.

In team news for today’s clash: As mentioned, Kinghorn, Richie and Seymour miss out, instead, Sean Maitland, Hamish Watson and Byron McGuigan come in.

Sam Skinner is the other change in the back row, while Ben Toolis comes in for Jonny Gray, as Pete Horne drops out as well.

Jack Nowell replaces Joe Cokanasiga on the wing, for England, as Ben Moon, Henry Slade and Mark Wilson all enter the team.

Scotland can win this game, against a hardly unbeatable England, but they’ll need to bring all their attacking options.
