A fascinating all Pacific clash should attract plenty of attention as the Fijian Drua take on Moana Pasifika as Super Rugby Pacific Round 13 moves to CommBank Stadium, Sydney. Join The Roar for live scores from 2:35pm AEST.
Super Rugby’s latest derby is going to be an intriguing affair. Both sides will be disappointed that they haven’t picked up more wins in their matches so far but in their opening seasons they should reflect on the wins they have achieved and the frequent occasions where they have scared well established Super Rugby sides.
The Drua have announced an exciting line up with season captian Nemani Nagusa coming back to join the bench where he will be keen and eager to make an impact from. The crucial halves pairing will see Frank Lomani and Teti Tela also return and the ability for the two to find a rhythm together will dictate just how much control the Drua can bring to this match.
Moana Pasifika had a close game against the Tahs and arguably should have wrapped it up after earning an early lead. With the experienced Christian Lealiifano relegated to the bench due to illness, young Lincoln McClutchie will start at fly half and coach Aaron Mauger is expecting a good performance.
“Lincoln is a quality rugby player who has made big improvements during our campaign, we’re excited for him that he gets the opportunity to start and showcase his abilities from the first minute this week,” said Mauger this week.
Outside McClutchie is the returning centre pairing of Danny Toala and Solomone Kata who will be relied upon to get the team over the gain line with plenty of crash ball action.
