The Rebels clash with the Waratahs in this all-Aussie derby. Join The Roar from 7:45pm (AEST) for the inter-state contest at AAMI Park.

The Rebels are on 33 points, just one point behind the table-topping Brumbies, heading into this one.

Victory would put them top and pile more pressure on the ACT going into their game this weekend against the Sunwolves.

On the other side of the fence the Waratahs are in third place on the table with 26 points, and it really is win or else for the NSW outfit.

Victory would keep their season alive but another loss, following last weekend’s heart-breaking defeat to the Jaguares, would be a nail in their coffin.

They go into this game without injured centre Karmichael Hunt, who has been replaced by Lalakai Foketi. Curtis Rona is back on the wing with Cameron Clark making way.

The Rebels have made several changes to their forward pack with Anaru Rangi, Luke Jones and Isi Naisarani all back in. Matt Toomua has been named at inside centre for his first start.

Backs Billy Meakes and Tom English are on the bench along with Ross Haylett-Petty, the young brother of fullback and Wallaby Dane.

The battle between the halves of Bernard Foley and Nick Phipps, against Quade Cooper and Will Genia for the Australian spots, should also be intriguing.

Prediction
The Tahs have to win to have any hope at all of a semi-finals spot, while the Rebels need to get back on the horse and put pressure on the Brumbies in top spot. At home the Rebels should have too much in the tank.

Rebels to win by seven points.
