Rugby fans will get to see ‘Rapid Rugby’ in action tonight as the Western Force host a World XV at HBF Park in Perth. Join The Roar for live scores and a live blog of the action, starting from 10:40pm AEDT.

There’s a number of rule tweaks we’ll get a chance to see in action and analyse tonight.

Nine points will be awarded for a try that beings within a team’s own 22m zone, while kick-outs in the full inside that zone will be a lineout to the opposition from where the kick occured.

The length of halves will be reduced to 35 minutes, and tactical substitutions will be allowed – at a maximum of ten per match.

There’s also a 10/22 kicking rule – essentially, if kicks from behind the defensive 10m line land and go out in the opposition 22, the kicking team will get the ball.

The World XV will be coached by Robbie Deans and contains former Wallaby and Force players Digby Ioane and Nick Cummins, as well as fellow Australians Dylan Riley, Michael Oakman-Hunt, Jack Cornelson and Tom Moloney.
