Steve Hansen calls out All Blacks pair's 'dumb footy' acts on Michael Hooper
Poor discipline and not just from sent off lock Scott Barrett exposed the All Blacks against the Wallabies, according to coach Steve Hansen.
The Kiwis suffered a surprise 21-point defeat in Perth as Michael Cheika’s men ran in six tries to set up a mouth-watering Bledisloe Cup clash in Auckland next week.
The Wallabies were given a welcome boost on the verge of half-time, with Barrett shown a red card for a shoulder charge on Aussie captain Michael Hooper.
And while Hansen told media after the match the home side were deserving victors, he didn’t hold back when describing Barrett’s action, along with that of Ardie Savea, who gave away a first-half penalty for an altercation with Hooper.
Hansen was also critical of the team’s overall discipline in the loss.
