WATCH: Incredible passion on display as South African captain belts out national anthem
There’s no denying that South African captain Siya Kolisi loves his country and his passion was on display before kick-off against the Wallabies at the Gold Coast.
Kolisi sang South Africa’s national anthem ‘Nkosi Sikelei’ iAfrika’ loud and proud before the match.
“That is raw emotion from the Springbok captain,” Wallaby great Tim Horan said in commentary.
“How much does that mean to him?”
However, the captain’s passion was perhaps a little too much on the field with Kolisi given a yellow card for a dangerous tackle after 15 minutes.
The Wallabies then crossed for the opening try.
