Show Preview

Adelaide United host Melbourne City in the first of two legs with a spot in the A-League men’s grand final up for grabs. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:05pm AEST.

Last night we saw Melbourne Victory take a 1-0 lead in their two-game Semi-final with the only shot on target by the Victory finding the back of the net against Western United.

City will want to emulate their Melbourne rivals and they’ll have the expectations on their shoulders as the clear favourites in this leg and tie.

City finished on top of the table in the competition and are looking to make it back-to-back A-League titles.

Of course, to get to this point you have to be playing good football and both sides are in form. It’s no secret that if Adelaide is to cause an upset they’ll need to do the majority of the damage at home tonight in front of their loyal supporters.

Expect United to play some attacking football to take it to City from the first whistle.

The last time the two sides met it was a 2-1 victory to Adelaide back in February.
