The Brisbane Roar play premiers Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:30pm (AEST).
Here we are: it is the final game of the regular season for the Roar, while it is the second-last outing for Sydney FC – they play Western United on Saturday night to conclude their home-and-away draw.
The Roar are coming off a hard-fought draw with Wellington, where the two teams finished locked at once apiece. Warren Moon’s team have been in average nick since the A-League’s resumption, beating a terrible Victory side but also suffering a defeat at the hands of Adelaide United.
Sydney have been in a patch of deeply uncharacteristic poor form, despite having already secured the premiership plate. They’ve dropped two of their last three, losing to Newcastle and Melbourne City before drawing with Adelaide four days ago.
The Sky Blues are far and away the best offensive team in the competition, slotting 46 goals to date. The Roar, despite their ladder positioning, have scored just 28, but are superb defensively, conceding 27. These two teams have met twice so far this season, the New South Welshmen comfortably winning both clashes.
