After a 0-0 all draw in the first leg Melbourne City and Adelaide United will be searching for the knockout blow in their A-League semi-final. Join The Roar for live scores of the second leg from 2:05pm AEST.
Adelaide United have the better recent form with four wins from their last five games but City held their own at Cooper’s Stadium and they’ll have plenty of confidence after the Adelaide stalemate.
Back at their home ground City will be looking for a bit more luck after Andrew Nabbout struck the goal post earlier this week.
Of course Adelaide will feel like they’re also due a bit of luck after a controversial penalty non-decision.
Adelaide United are undefeated against Melbourne City in their last four fixtures and despite being away from home they will want to make a mockery of being rank outsiders for this one.
Ryan Kitto is set to play his 150th appearance in the A-League while teammate George Blackwood is poised to bring up his century. As well as a grand final spot, it’s the extra incentive United has to get the job done for the club and the player milestones.
City will want to spoil the party and as the defending champions they know a thing or two about handling pressure.
We’re set for a beauty in the nation’s sporting capital.
