Melbourne City host Adelaide United in what will be an important match in the shape of the finals. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 5:35pm (AEST).

Melbourne start the weekend in sixth place, and a win could see them go as high as fourth. Adelaide start fifth, and could end up in fourth, fifth or sixth.

City pulled out some terrific goals in their 4-1 win over Brisbane last week, while Adelaide disposed of Wellington 3-1.

City have no forced changes, though Dario Vidosic and Iacopo La Rocca both return to the extended squad.

Adelaide will be without striker Apostolos Stamatopoulos while he serves his two-match ban. Leaving an all too familiar gap up front.

They’ve looked to their youth team for replacements with midfielder Louis D’Arrigo and wingers Carlo Armiento and Pacifique Niyongabire being added to the squad.

Prediction
Difficult to predict really. Both teams have had trouble scoring goals, and Adelaide have some key outs on top of that. It’ll be close, but City to edge it.
