Melbourne City are going to be keen to bounce back after being the team that Central Coast broke their 327-day losing streak against last round.

Having been willing to rotate and move players around within the 3-5-2 formation, Warren Joyce may look to shuffle once more as he looks for improvement on their last showing in Gosford.

Joyce has been getting young winger Ramy Najjarine to play more minutes, while he’s hinted that Y-League striker Moudi Najjar may be in line for a first-team debut.

Western Sydney have been similarly trusting with their young players throughout a difficult run of results for them.

Manager Markus Babbel has handed debuts to a number of Y-League standouts, and all of them remain in the extended squad for this week’s match.

WSW regain the services of Jordan O’Doherty and Keanu Baccus after his suspension. City may welcome back injured duo Dario Vidosic and Osama Malik.

Prediction
This is very much a case of ‘could go either way’ that will be dependent on City’s attitude.

Either City come out with a point to prove after the loss to the Mariners, or Western Sydney’s youthful exuberance will pounce on a City side low on confidence.

I’m predicting the former.
