The Newcastle Jets will look to put some distance between themselves and bottom club Central Coast Mariners when they take on Perth Glory. Join The Roar for our live coverage and updates from 5:00pm (AEDT).
The home side have seen an improvement in form since the appointment of Carl Robinson, beating the Mariners before gaining a point from meetings with Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory. The Glory will represent a greater test, however, with the Western Australia outfit the closest team to runaway league leaders Sydney FC.
Unbeaten in their last ten games, an away win would see Glory cement their second place in the standings.
Newcastle do have the added bonus of being able to call upon new arrivals Bernie Ibini and Joe Ledley to boost their lineup, with the latter in particular a stellar signing: once of Celtic, Cardiff, and Crystal Palace, the Welshman boasts both EPL and Champions League experience and this will be vital if his new club are to experience any sort of revival on the pitch.
Kick-off: 5:00PM (AEDT)
Venue: McDonald Jones Stadium
TV: FOX Sports 505, ABC
