The title for best team in Sydney is set to be decided when Western Sydney Wanderers host Macarthur FC for a spot at the top of the table. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:45pm AEDT.

Western Sydney, despite a disappointing FFA Cup loss during the week, enter this clash off the back of an excellent 2-0 win against the Phoenix last Friday and Macarthur remains undefeated after a hard-fought 1-0 triumph against the Mariners at Penrith in Match Week 3.

The pressure continues to mount on Wanderers boss Carl Robinson, with early-season performances not decisively indicating that his team is ready to contend seriously for the championship. However, Western Sydney sat fourth on the ladder prior to the weekend’s fixtures and a win here would remove some of the tension around the club, as the fans continue to wait for another period of success.

A win for Ante Milicic’s Macarthur FC would see them rocket clear at the top of the ladder.

Mexican star Ulises Davila has been pulling the strings after his singing from Wellington Phoenix. Alongside Daniel De Silva and Lachlan Rose, Davila had formed the beginnings of a potentially dangerous front third and combined with a solid defence that gives away very little, Macarthur looked one of the most stable teams in the early rounds of the season. Sadly, Davila will now miss a month and the Wanderers could well enter this fixture as favourites off the back of that development.
