There are huge ladder ramifications at stake as the Western Sydney Wanderers and Wellington Phoenix close out Round 12 of the A-League. Stay up to date with their clash with live scores on The Roar from 7:05pm (AEDT).

The Wanderers enter tonight’s match in sixth place – the last finals spot – but a win will see them rocket all the way to second. A loss won’t see them drop, but it will put them in a precarious position being less than a win ahead of the next four sides, all of whom will have played fewer games than them. They ended a three-match winless run with a win over Western United last week but need to keep their momentum up.

Wellington are in good form, however, and will not be the pushover their ladder position suggests. The tenth-placed Phoenix can move as high as eighth with a win and come into this clash off the back of two impressive wins. They took down a then in-form Newcastle 2-0 in Round 10, before pulling off a superb 3-0 upset over Perth Glory last week.
