Melbourne Victory defender left to celebrate a goal by himself
New Melbourne Victory recruit Storm Roux doesn’t often get an opportunity to find the back of the net. So it makes sense that whenever he gets the rare chance to, he’s going to celebrate.
In his 108th A-League appearance, the defender scored just his third career goal and first for the Victory, heading home from a razor-sharp corner from star marquee Keisuke Honda.
And while Roux ran off to celebrate his superb effort – he soon awkwardly found himself completely on his own.
Highlight of the match was Storm Roux being deserted by his team mates for his goal celebration. Turns around and realises no one was interested in joining him.#MVCvPER

Of course, the reason why was that after getting back to two goals each, Roux’s teammates sprinted back to their positions in the hopes of finding a late match-winner.
Given it was instead the Glory who would manage the feat, with Chris Ikonomidis the hero, in the end it was a perfect Storm for the Victory.
