Melbourne Victory midfielder gets sent off just as he's about to be subbed out
With Elvis Kamsoba set to be added to the game, it appeared Melbourne Victory midfielder Kristijian Dobras was in turn about to be subbed out against Wellington Phoenix.
However before Marco Kurz could make the change, Dobras, who was already on a yellow card, put his foot in it.
Seconds after Kamsoba made his way to the sideline in anticipation of the move, Dobras was sent off for a high boot action in the 60th minute.
The call left Kurz furious, while Fox Football commentator Andy Harper agreed, describing it as a “dumb decision”.
Kamsoba did eventually make an appearance, coming on for Andrew Nabbout 27 minutes later as the Victory pushed for a match-winner.
However, Kurz’s men would have to settle for a 0-0 draw.
