Moving scenes as Leicester City pay tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

Leicester City have paid tribute to the late Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, in the club’s first home game since the tragic death of its chairman.

Vichai, along with four others, passed away late in October following a tragic helicopter crash soon after the group left the Foxes’ draw with West Ham.

Prior to the Foxes’ clash with Burnley, the entire stadium was brought to a standstill as fans, players and staff took part in a shared two-minute silence.

The match would be a 0-0 draw.

After taking over ownership of the club in 2010, Vichai was considered a major part of Leicester City’s success that followed, helping the team get back into the top tier of English football, before they would go on to claim the EPL title in the 2015-16 season.
