After finishing runner-up at last year’s US Open final, Madison Keys will be looking to book her place when she comes up against 20-year-old Naomi Osaka. Join The Roar from 10:15am (AEST) for live scores and coverage.

After coming so close against compatriot Sloane Stephens in last year’s US Open final, Madison Keys has a shot at redemption following some dominant performances in recent days.

Keys was clinical in her 6-4, 6-3 straight sets victory over Carla Suarez Navarro, continuing what has been a steady season thus far.

She opened her campaign with straight sets wins over Pauline parmentier and Bernarda Pera before moving through to the second week with a win over Aleksandra Krunic, coming back from a set down to win 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.

She also disposed of Dominika Cibulkova with a powerful 6-1, 6-3 win, staking her claim as a genuine title threat.

Naomi Osaka has flown under the radar and been impressive in reaching the final four at a grand slam for the first time in her career.

The Japanese 20-year-old kicked off her tournament at Flushing Meadows with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Laura Siegemund before absolutely dominating against Julia Glushko 6-2, 6-0.

Arguably her most impressive display so far was a stunning double bagel victory over Aliaksandra Sasnovich where Osaka came out on top 6-0, 6-0. She was pushed to three sets by Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 before returning to her dominance with a win over Lesya Tsurenko 6-1, 6-1.

Keys will find it extremely hard to break Osaka, who has exhibited a strong service game all tournament however, as Osaka is yet to play any highly-fancied opponents, she faces a major challenge.

Keys and Osaka have played three before with Keys winning on both occasions. They have met at the US Open before in 2016 where Keys triumphed in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 7-6.

Prediction
Keys will set up an all-American final with a win in straight sets.

Keys in straight sets.
