Ricky Nixon’s future as an AFL player manager will become clearer after 4.30pm (AEDT) on Thursday when the agent accreditation board concludes a meeting in Melbourne.

Nixon has travelled abroad this week in the wake of a sordid episode involving the girl at the centre of last year’s St Kilda photo scandal, leaving the league players association (AFLPA) to question his right to manage.
The AFLPA released a statement on Thursday morning saying the matter would be discussed at a previously scheduled meeting of the board (AAB) after which the chairman Ian Prendergast would “outline the outcome of discussions”.
Hawthorn player Cameron Bruce, managed by Nixon’s Flying Start company, and agents Dan Richardson and Liam Pickering will step out of the discussion.
“It is important to note that this is not a hearing, as has
been reported by some outlets,” the statement said.
“It is also important to note that there will be a number of items on the meeting agenda that do not relate to the accreditation of Ricky Nixon.
“As such, those members who have excused themselves from discussing this matter will be in attendance for a portion of the meeting.”
There is a strong chance the matter will be deferred by its referral to a senior lawyer for investigation, before his recommendation is taken up by the AAB.
Nixon’s sudden departure followed the release of shock videos of a man purported to be the AFL player manager in underpants on the bed of the 17-year-old.
Another video showed her retrieving Nixon’s wallet from a pair of trousers lying on the floor and some white powder sitting on a table.
Nixon has vehemently denied the girl’s claims they had sexual relations for up to a month and rejected suggestions they shared alcohol and drugs in her hotel room.
The girl says she believes he left Australia to escape the pressure, adding that the videos she shot back up her claims.
“The only conclusion I can come to is the media pressure was getting too much for him,” she told reporters on Tuesday.
“His lies were inconsistent, and he was clearly proven wrong by the videos I provided to the news stations,” she claimed.
The videos threaten to end the career of 47-year-old Nixon, who manages Nick Riewoldt and Nick Dal Santo, two of the St Kilda players whose nude photographs the girl posted on Facebook late last year.
The AFLPA has offered him psychological help.

Disgraceful Victorian culture. The Swans are the standard all clubs should look to as how a club is run. We have never had an off field scandal and being a stones throw away from Oxford Street that is hard Great game but we need to get this Victorian boys club attitude out of it so we can con core all codes..

Who'd seriously want to work with this guy again after all this? He has a bad rep anyway before all this, but this just clarifies he is a dirty old man. Ive seen him in person at an event i was at last year and the way he was carrying on that day proved there isnt something quite right about him. He is obviously a clever man and good at his job, but i dont think that will save him now.
