Todd Viney has taken the role of interim coach, and if there was ever a time to silence the critics, it’d be today; a Saturday afternoon MCG hit-out against consistent title contenders, Carlton.
Sending a message to his team that a repeat performance of last week is not acceptable, Viney has omitted fan favourites Liam Jurrah and Colin Sylvia from the Dees.
The Blues go in as overwhelming favourites with a team mostly unchanged. Ryan Houlihan goes out, with Aaron Joseph coming in.
Commanding fourth spot on the AFL ladder they’ll be looking to continue their winning charge towards the finals, in a game many will expect them to win.
With West Coast just two points behind them, Carlton will want to ensure they remain in the top four, but will be wary of a fired up Demons side, who have so much more to play for.
