Adelaide United vs Perth Glory: A-League live scores, blog

By John Davidson / Roar Guru

Perth Glory travel to Hindmarsh Stadium to take on Adelaide United in the midst of a six-game unbeaten run. Join us today from 4.45pm for live scores, blog updates and chat of the action.

At the moment Perth are one of the form teams in the competition and will arrive in South Australia full of confidence. They sit in fifth place, but a win today could put them in third on the ladder.

Adelaide, on the other hand, haven’t won in their last four matches after three draws and a loss. To keep the John Kosmina revival alive the must get a win today.

The Reds have a short turnaround for this match after their 1-1 draw with Newcastle in Bathurst mid-week.

Injury clouds are over Zenon Caravella for Adelaide, and Bas van den Brink, Josh Mitchell and Travis Dodd for Perth.

Adelaide have turned their season around under Kosmina but they sit in second-last place today. Points at home are vital if their semi-final hopes are to be kept alive.

On the other hand, Perth can do no wrong in recent weeks and it will be intriguing if their own mid-season revival can continue.

Glory coach Ian Ferguson looked to be on the scrapheap only two months ago but a three points at Hindmarsh could go a long way to cementing Perth’s place in the top six.

Join us from 4.45pm AEDT for up to date live scores and minute by minute commentary to find out how this one pans out – and please join in and let us know your thoughts on the game, everyone is welcome.

Honestly, I feel we have had a better signing in Miller than MVFC or SFC had in Kewell or Emerton, especially with him being under the cap.

Perth are playing some good football ... its not all luck... Miller is an excellent player and a good pick up by Perth...

Finest stretch for Glory since we joined the A-League (somewhat distressing when you thi about it). Like the Phoenix result, nice to be on the winning end of a match like this.

FULL TIME That's now seven games unbeaten for Perth. They have the Gold Coast at home in their next game, so you would expect them to win that. I can't see Perth missing the semis now, and perhaps they are emerging as real contenders. Adelaide on the other hand, I think their season's done. Second last, and with time fast running out. They face the Phoenix next, and the Kiwis will be on a high after their win today, I think the semis might be out of their reach. Adelaide 0 Perth 3

'94 Typical of Adelaide. Some great lead up leads to a great chance for Barbiero, and he heads it over. Another chance blown. Adelaide can't buy a goal. Adelaide 0 Perth 3

'89 Fair point Stevo, The Kosmina bubble may have burst. Maybe Adelaide are starting to switch off from him now. Smeltz has a rare chance for Perth to make it four but he shoots wide to the right. Adelaide 0 Perth 3

'84 Hard not to feel a bit sorry for Adelaide. They have tried hard and had all the ball, but just not taken their chances and been punished for their mistakes. Full credit to Perth though, they have scrambled well and controlled the game for the most part. A pretty professional performance. Adelaide 0 Perth 3

'83 Miller shows the class that got him on the books of Man U and Leeds United. Great give and go and then a mazy run past a few defenders and a quality finish into the side of the goal. Classy stuff. Adelaide are sunk. Adelaide 0 Perth 3
