The Parramatta Eels host the North Queensland Cowboys at Pirtek Stadium for their second clash of 2014. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 7:40pm (AEST).
Parramatta will be looking to regain their mojo and make amends for last week’s shocking display against Penrith.
North Queensland travel over the border with the aim of continuing their good run of games and building on their Jonathan Thurston mastetclass performance against the Melbourne Storm last round.
In team news, the Eels welcome back their magnificent fullback in Jarred Hayne, but will have to make do without their talented hooker in Nathan Peats who has been ruled out for rest of season with an ACL injury.
Luke Kelly will return to the side and take Peats place.
The Cowboys welcome back Joel Riethmuller, but will be without Gavin Cooper, who is out until Round 22 with a hip injury.
A win tonight for the Cowboys would break their 2014 Sydney hoodoo and be a real boost heading into the second half of the season.
Another loss however, could damage their confidence and ability come away with a win in the future when they travel south.
Neither side can make any excuses in this match, as all the origin troopers are back!
This should make for an entertaining match.
Prediction: Parramatta by 20.

A very scrappy error filled game that could have gone both ways at the end, parra lucky to hold on and the late charge from the cowboys was....well a little too late. My goodness parra desperately need an established goal kicker, would have them higher on the ladder in my opinion. Hayne and JT both brilliant with the man of the match deservedly going to whichever came from the winning team.

Morgan and Thompson made plenty of critical handling errors. So frustrating supporting the cowboys, another ordinary loss to a team we should be dictating terms to. Parra should have had it wrapped up early in the second half but for Sandow's kicking, they did well in an error ridden slop fest.

FT EELS 18 NQL 16 EELS hold their nerve to hold on a late NQL onslaught. Well done Parra.... great performance, just lost their way late on. Hoppa was OK, did the hard yards, but did nothing spectacular. IMO .. Dylan Walker puts up a far better case for that NSW Blues jersey. Until next time, ciaooo Have a great night Ya'll
