Wests Tigers vs Canterbury Bulldogs: NRL live scores

By The Roar / Editor

The Wests Tigers meet the Canterbury Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Join The Roar for live scores from 3:00pm (AEST).

Three wins on the trot see the Bulldogs placed third on the NRL ladder, but equal first on points.

Just three wins behind them, but seven rungs on the ladder, sit the Tigers in 10th place.

The last time these sides met came way back in Round 8 last season. Canterbury gave the Tigers a belting in that match, running out a 40 to 4 victory.

The Tigers enter this match as underdog, and rightly so after stringing together a couple of disappointing losses. They will be desperate to turn a corner against the Bulldogs and keep their finals aspirations in check.

After a big 40 to 8 loss against the Sea Eagles last week, matching is against a table topping team (as they were managing earlier in the season) is a difficult prospect to entertain.

The loss of winger David Nofoaluma for the season with a knee injury only adds to the challenge for the Tigers.

Robbie Farah got himself in hot water following the loss after lashing out at referee Shane Hayne’s decision to not send a contentious no-try call to the video ref.

He will need to enter this match with more focus on the match and moment at hand, and lead his side strongly if they have any chance of an upset today.

The Bulldogs ground out a solid 2-point win against the Storm in Melbourne last round and should extend their winning streak to four if they can bring similar steel into this match.

The return of Josh Morris will provide even more reason for the Bulldogs to back themselves in to win this match.

Can the Tigers revive their finals hopes with a strong upset win? Or will the Bulldogs continue their charge?

Join The Roar for live scores from 3:00pm (AEST).

Is that the same as last week when the tigers got done, yet everyone said "the refs didn't matter in the end cause they had 40 put on them"? Fair dinkum mate, if it wasn't for poor goal kicking, the dogs would have had near 60 on them...... But it was the refs right? And there wasn't even a clearly wrong call on a try this game...

The Archer template for refereeing is out in force this season. Remember the first 20 mins. of the 2012 GF. Amen.

Your kidding if you think that with 20 mins to go, and the penalty count 7-2 (with one of the Bulldogs ones being the high shot on Brown) that the Tigers err'ed only once in 60mins of football. When the ref is one sided is can really kill a game. He piggybacked you guys to the try line so many times it wasn't funny, which prevented the Dogs from being able to apply any pressure whatsoever. The Bulldogs did well to be leading at half time given how little ball we had.

Bulldogs played badly, Tigers played well.. the men in pink should be demoted to the NSW cup for next week.

The refering was fair. The tigers showed more energy the entire game and were able to draw penalties from the ruck through fighting hard to play the ball. The dogs were flat and struggled to keep up with a firing tigers, which resulted in them giving away stupid penalties. If you want to talk unfair referring, there was an intentional trip by Jackson which should be 10 in the bin every day of the week.

Moses played great, but anyone who thinks Brooks didn't also play an outstanding game doesn't understand rugby league!

The Bulldogs still played well, but the referee just kept on piggy backing your guys up the field. At half time you guys had had 60% of possession, though it read as 18 sets to 10 sets for the Bulldogs (and a 5-1 penalty count). By full time you guys ended up with 62% possession, though most games you usually tend to see possession even out. Dogs just had nothing in the tank by the last 20minutes when you finally ran riot. Tigers will want to pray that get that ref every week because he sure wasn't refereeing both teams. Anyway, Dogs over the next 2 weeks should get back Tolman, Josh Reynolds, Josh Morris, Sam Perritt, Klemmer which fixes both backline and go forward. with 5 of 7 at ANZ it should go a long way to ensuring we stay top 4.

It's great to see the boys playingt to their potential. They didn't let the dogs into the game. Sironen found his feet, and the rest fo the kids are really something special. Moses, Brooks, Austin and Sironen....so much talent. They were great oin the back of the forwards bullying what is said to be the best pack in the competition. The Tigers need to be consistent now. They have been manhandled badly over the past month and we all know that they are capable of being equal to any pack. I'm not getting carried away until I see the next few weeks results. They should beat St George but have a habit of being beaten by the shoiuld have beaten teams. Then comes the money teams. If we beat Melbourne and Nth Qld in Townsville, we will be genuine contenders. In the meantime, we will bask inthe 9 tries and the flogging of one of the competition favourites.

Where are the keyboard critics now? Potter has done an outstanding job with the troops he has at his disposal and is building a team but some dimwits still demand an immediate premiership or his head. Not a Wests Tigers fan (my boys had a fantastic win in the NSW Cup yesterday and I was there to see them comeback from a 24 point deficit and win 31-30) but like some of the footy they have played this year including today.
