Cricket World Cup final attracts record crowd

An Australian cricket record crowd of 93,013 watched Sunday’s World Cup final at the MCG.

Organisers announced late in the New Zealand innings that more than 91,112 fans were inside the MCG.

That was the previous single-day crowd record, set on day one of the 2013 Boxing Day Test.

The previous one-day international record crowd was 87,182, set when Pakistan beat England to win the 1992 World Cup final at the MCG.

Yep great crowd great game.Best team defeated second best team.Great start by Australia,NZ tried to recover but our bowling depth shone through.NZ needed early wickets and got one butWarner got us off to a great start then our two best batsman took us home.I personally loved the match.

I think it's suffice to say this has been the best World Cup ever. Some classic games, huge crowds and plenty of entertainment! Topped off with the two best teams meeting in the final and deserved winners being crowned world champions. Great success!
