Farah trains with Blues ahead of Origin

By News / Wire

Robbie Farah has trained with NSW for the first time since suffering a hand injury last weekend.

Farah took part in the Blues’ training session at their Coffs Harbour base on Saturday as they ramped up their preparation for State of Origin III.

The injured Blues rake participated in a ballwork session with his teammates but was not expected to take part in the contact session scheduled for the second part of the day.

Farah’s back-up Mick Ennis also trained.

Ennis trained at dummy half for the majority of the brief period media were allowed to view, in a group that contained Blues halves Mitchell Pearce and Trent Hodkinson.

Farah was sporting a small bandage on his right hand which was operated on, on Tuesday. He was able to grip the ball and pass easily but he spent his time in a separate group from Ennis, primarily slotting in at first receiver.

Farah flew to Coffs Harbour on Wednesday night, but didn’t train with the Blues on Thursday. The team had a day off on Friday.

The Wests Tigers skipper remains a 50/50 proposition to play in the Origin decider at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, after fracturing his hand in Wests Tigers loss to Penrith at Leichhardt Oval last Sunday.

Ennis will step in if Farah is unavailable with a decision likely to be made by coach Laurie Daley on Tuesday.

Alex McKinnon was a special guest of the Blues at Tuesday’s session.

I have got a solution to the Ennis situation. You have to name any player who will take part in the game. You don't name 'em they can't play.

Now that the weekend's round has passed, I expect the game of 3 card Farah [ sarcastic license ;-) ] is over and Ennis will be named in the team either Monday or early Tuesday morning.

I fully agree and it would be 'A RECIPE FOR DISASTER' Daley is a fool if he persists with this Farah rubbish and doesn't give Ennis a start in the decider. Ennis is the inform No9 in the NRL and has got experience and he is 100% fit. So what is Daley doing? If NSW lose on Wednesday 'Daley should not come back to Sydney or NSW' or ever coach NSW again! lol

Now the weekend is over NSW can stop bluffing and get on with Ennis, Farrah has had a free trip to the Origin I guess as part of the Team.

If Farah plays Daley needs to be ready to be hung drawn and quartered if it turns out to be the wrong decision. Plates, pins and painkillers sounds like a recipe for an early exit But maybe the nice QLD boys will take into consideration Robbie's situation and take it easy on him .

If Farah plays he better have a blinder because anything less and he may as well stay up there.

Either way is a win for QLD. If Farah plays he is half fit and if Ennis plays I never have to hear NSW whine about TBA ever again.
