The latest instalment of cricket’s greatest rivalry commences on July 8, with the first Ashes Test of the 2015 series kicking off at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. The five-Test series then sees Australia and England face off at Lord’s, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge and The Oval.

Get up to date with all you need to know about how to watch and stream the upcoming series with The Roar’s Guide to Watching the 2015 Ashes.

When are the Tests?
Each Test of the 2015 series commences at 8:00pm AEST (11:00am local). You can view the complete tour schedule here.

Second Test: July 16-20 at Lord’s in London
Third Test: July 29-August 2 at Edgbaston in Birmingham

How can you watch, listen and follow?
Every minute of the action will be shown live on free-to-air in Australia on GEM (Channel 90). You can view a complete broadcast guide here.

You can also listen via ABC Radio, where every ball will be covered live. Search for your local frequency or stream online to get your fix from the ABC.

The only way to legally stream every ball online is via the Cricket Australia Live app (available for both iPhone and Android), or cricket.com.au’s match centre. The only downside here is that you will have to pay: a day pass will set you back $4.99, while a 365-day pass is just $29.99 – enough to see you through the Australia 2015/16 summer also!

Of course, The Roar will be live blogging each and every ball of the series. You can also catch highlights each morning on The Roar or via Roar TV.

Who’s in the Ashes squad?
The Australian squad for the 2015 Ashes series had a late change made just days out from the opening Test, following the forced retirement of veteran paceman, Ryan Harris. Pat Cummins was brought in to replace Harris in the 17-man squad.

Australia’s Ashes squad:
Michael Clarke (c), Steve Smith (vc), Fawad Ahmed, Brad Haddin, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Peter Nevill, Chris Rogers, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc, Adam Voges, David Warner, Shane Watson, Pat Cummins

Here we go again. Missed out watching the Rugby League World Cup because I have no outside aerial or HD on Optus Cable. Now here we go again with GEM with the cricket. Sick of hearing live and free with the commercial stations. Thank heavens for the ABC radio coverage.

We are lucky, we are getting the Ashes on free to air TV, in England, they aren't.

You can look at it this way, the Ashes will be in HD while Origin will be in Standard Def.

Oh the humanity! The horror! I haven't been paying enough attention. I had vaguely registered that Channel 9 was covering the Ashes this year and had arranged to send some of its commentating team over to the UK. But I wasn't all that interested, because I took it for granted that Foxtel would also be on deck, taking the coverage from Sky UK. But just last Friday, I discovered that Foxtel was not in the frame. Nein has the rights to itself. Ah well, at least ABC Radio will provide the commentary for Nein's pictures, as it does every Australian summer. But I would still rather have had the Sky cameras and commentary team for the Ashes.
