Cheap Seats episode 87: #askthecheapseats unveil a bombshell...

By The Cheap Seats Podcast / Roar Guru

Sportswriters Brett McKay and Ryan O’Connell are toying with unlucky numbers in Episode 87 of the Cheap Seats podcast.

With such a milestone episode upon us, the boys have again opened up the show to the listeners, answering #AskTheCheapSeats questions that came in thick and fast over the last 10 days.

Topics were wide and ranging, and included – among others – Wallabies playmaking, sightseeing on the tour of Bangladesh, NFL, Roger Federer, Usman Khawaja, Ellyse Perry, injury-prone bowlers, the Roosters whinging, generational change in the Australian cricket team, kids eating cat food, day/night Test cricket, NRC and ITM Cup teams playing each other, Sam Burgess, Aussies killing it in the US, the NBL and the NBA, and Robbie Farah.

And there’s a bombshell about the podcast itself, which we won’t spoil, but will just say “thanks”.

As always, you can get us on Twitter at @CheapSeatsPod, on Soundcloud, iTunes, and the TuneIn radio app.

And stay cheap!

Ryan, best wishes to you mate and your better half with the new addition. It was good that you mentioned the Matildas. What a shocking situation they have got themselves into. It seems that they've hired the same advisor the Melbourne cabbies are using, i.e. let's all go on strike for a day so you can try Uber and see how much better it is. Striking or withdrawing labour works when (as George Costanza would say) you have the hand. But when the other party has the hand, or you don't control the situation because of other parties, then to strike is simply counter productive. They should have gone to the US, performed well, generated heaps of positive publicity, then taken up their case again from a strengthened position. Instead they are now in a massive hole.
