The Bathurst 1000 is the biggest event on the Australian motorsport calendar. This year there are a number of ways to watch the race, whether through live streaming online or on TV.
The full event goes for four days. It begins on Thursday October 8 and continues through till Sunday October 11.
However the main attraction, the race itself, begins at 11:00am AEDT on Sunday October 11.
Live Stream
V8 Supercars has a live streaming service, V8 Superview, however this service is only available to customers outside of Australia and New Zealand.
It offers a $14.95 Bathurst Pass which allows users to live stream the Bathurst 1000. Alternatively, there is a $39.95 Championship Pass which allows users to live stream every race on the 2015 V8 Supercars calendar.
If you’re looking to live stream the Bathurst 1000 within Australia, the only legitimate way to do so is via the Foxtel Go or Foxtel Play apps.
Foxtel Go is available for free if you already have an existing Foxtel service, however Foxtel Play is better for those only looking to access Foxtel services through live streaming, rather than have a traditional installation. It starts at $25 per month.
Every minute of the Bathurst 1000 is being shown on Foxtel, so you can watch the entire race via Foxtel Go or Foxtel Play.
TV
The entirety of the Bathurst 1000 will be broadcast live on both free-to-air TV, via channel Ten, and on Foxtel, on channels Fox Sports 5 (506) and Fox Sports 5HD (260).
On the day of the race, Sunday October 11, both Ten and Fox Sports will begin their broadcast at 7:30am AEDT, leading up to the start of the race at 11:00am AEDT. These broadcasts will conclude around 6:00pm AEDT, when the race is expected to end.
Fox Sports will be playing highlights in the lead-up to their live broadcast from 6:00am AEDT and will begin playing post-race highlights at 8:00pm AEDT.

Why so many adds. We miss 3-5 laps. So can you reduce the adds and if not can you put a box in the corner of the screen while the adds are playing so we can sills the race. Thanks.

I'm in NZ and I'd pay for an online streaming service, but I think freakin Sky has plugged that leak!!!! Angry, and this just reinforces my desire not to pay Sky's expensive fees. Maybe I'll just give up and turn into yet another Rugby head.

I am in USA and I can't watch it! First time since 1978 that I miss it because every greedy f***** broadcaster is too miserable to allow any freeviewing! Pox on them all!

No free TV coverage in New Zealand, and the above link won't work unless you're in Australia. Why do rich people not want the rest of us to enjoy any sports on TV???

Or the third option, which is trackside! It's fair to say I've accumulated quite a few good photos from qualifying and the shootout today.

Rupert didn't get rich by being nice. You pay for everything. Subscription TV and live on the net!
