They are closer, at least batting wise, than I thought too. However I see it as confirmation that neither should be considered as a top six batsman.

Their figures are closer than I thought, I'll concede, but it doesn't change my view, mate..

Shaun Marsh didn't debut in 2000, though, did he, Kev. if Shaun Marsh debuted in 2000 and produced the same results, I can't see how he'd have got even a third chances, never mind seven.. Look at Martin Love - five Tests in six months 2002-2003 and averaged 46+, made an unbeaten 100 in July 2003, wasn't picked again..

On the contrary Kev, the worry is that he won't when he definitely should!

I also can't believe you're considering that Khawaja won't walk back into the side. He's just scored over 300 runs in 3 innings over two tests being dismissed twice.

M.Marsh - 55 matches / 94 innings, 2666 runs at 31.0, 91 wickets at 26.2 J.Faulkner - 55 matches / 82 innings, 2202 runs at 31.0, 179 wickets at 24.0 Also - Faulkner also does have a first class century, he got one in county cricket over the English summer.

I'm sorry - Marlon Samuels would not have played 15 tests averaging under 35??? How many does Shaun Marsh average? And how many tests has he played?

Good chat guys, nice to have you back. Looks like the ICC have indeed taken the bus out of the garage for Nige… Re snicko, Lindsay Amner provided the explanation for this not registering on Monday, and it makes perfect sense when you think about it. Lyon was stretched forward at the crease, on a front foot sweep, with the bat extended forward as well. Contact was made probably as far away from the stump mic as it could be. Thus it's no surprise that this wasn't picked up. If Llong had applied this logic he could have taken hot spot (front and side-on) at face value and not let himself get twisted up by the absence of a spike on snicko.
