WATCH: Australian women conquer Dubai Sevens

By The Roar / Editor

The Australian women’s team has made a great start to the 2015-16 World Women’s Sevens Series, winning the Dubai tournament with a 31-12 victory over Russia in the cup final.

REPORT: AUSTRALIAN WOMEN WIN AT DUBAI

Australia won through to the quarter-finals on the first day to face last year’s champions, New Zealand.

A narrow 15-12 win over the Kiwis proved to be Australia’s most difficult match, as they went on to slam France 26-0 in the semis and then have a comfortable win over Russia in the final.

It’s a great start to the Australian women’s World Series campaign, and an encouraging sign as they prepare to compete at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

What a player is Green. Pace and power. How's the relative pay levels with the lads I wonder. Wallabies 7s are perennial under performers and the Women look the goods for the Olympics. Note to commentators, "the green machine" will get very tired very quickly. Just say her name.
