Brumbies CEO Jones keeps his job

By News / Wire

Michael Jones will keep his job as Brumbies chief executive for now after the Super Rugby club’s board lost a legal challenge.

ACT Supreme Court Justice Richard Refshauge on Thursday upheld a temporary injunction that, under whistleblower protection laws, allowed Jones to continue in his role after being stood down by the board in March.

It followed a scathing radio interview on ABC Grandstand in which he referred to a report around the franchise’s sale of its Griffith headquarters.

Brumbies may get a flogging if they aren't 100% focused on their prep this week

Tonight's the night then... or maybe not? What a bizarre set of circumstances! At present this is surely not workable... and what a sorry indictment on the back office in Brumby land!
