On Saturday afternoon in Alice Springs it was Port Adelaide who came away with a vital win for their finals chances.

The Demons slip a game away from the top eight now, but this certainly wasn’t a top eight performance from the Dees.
It was a real up-and-down game for the Demons who fluctuated between quarters. They held two goals a piece in the first to take a slight lead, but then let in six goals to two heading into half time.
Coming out of the break they reigned the game back in and took the fight to the Power, winning the third quarter five goals to four. But much like the first half, they collapsed in the second stanza, letting in six goals to one in the final term to lose by 45.
In the end it was a great team performance from the Power, finishing with 11 different goal scorers and 8 players notching up 20 or more disposals.

3: Chad Wingard – The 22-year old was all over the park today, causing headaches for the Demons at every turn. He slotted a couple of goals in the end to go with his 26 disposals, 10 contested possessions and four inside 50s.
2: Robbie Gray – Similar to Wingard, he was just a workhorse today, chasing the ball up and down the park and playing brilliantly through the midfield. A game high 28 disposals, 13 contested possessions, four clearances and five score assists.
1: Charlie Dixon – Could have gone with Jesse Hogan for the same reasons but I’m sticking with Dixon for this one. Bagged five goals up front in a dominant display from the beard. His side’s lead man in the forward 50.

This was probably Ports best game for the year. It's the best I've seen them move the ball and they made less mistakes than they have been all year. Who knows though, next week they may not turn up at all, it's that type of year.
