Sacking Jose Mourinho would be a mistake

By TFPJOURNALIST / Roar Pro

After three straight losses, there are a lot of rumours surfacing about Jose Mourinho’s future at the Theatre of Dreams.

The rumours intensified following the clubs 3-1 loss to Watford. These days, clubs go through managers like they’re nothing.

Mourinho has continued an unfortunate losing streak overnight with his third loss of the week. Upsets to Feyenoord and Watford were most shocking in comparison to the Manchester Derby loss which was a relatively 50/50 outcome.

However, not singling out Red Devil fans however a lot of clubs are becoming less and less patient and considering of their manager and have no time for losses such as these.

Jose is one of football’s most decorated and successful managers and when he decided to grace the Premier League once more with Manchester United was great news for all fans of the most exciting league in the world.

Great managers and great teams lose games, it happens, it’s football. Manchester United have a team of exceptional talent and wealth and while they should be questioned for losing games against much smaller teams, this is the Premier League where any team can take on the giants.

We, as fans, must take into consideration that sometimes the manager has no control of the gameplay. Any team can lose from a simple error and the manager has no control of that.

Losses can come from nothing and may not have anything to do with a managers tactics. Manchester United must first re-consider the players before the manager this time round. After David Moyes and LVG got the boot, it is now time for the club to think about positional changes and player quality and worth.

Yes, United have spent big in the transfer window, however it is already showing that you can buy some of the world’s best and still lose simple games.

It’s not ‘Mourinho out’, and frankly I am quite fed up with these impatient fans who can’t support their team through good and bad times. Jose has copped criticism in the past, but no one can deny his talent.

If he must be sacked after so many disappointing losses, so be it. But it is too early to start considering that decision.

Sometimes it’s the manager, sometimes it’s the players. It’s hard to pick but it can be analysed. Manchester United fans need to be patient and let Mou do his magic, but sacking too early can cause more detrimental problems in the future.

Hi, thanks for the comment. The headline comes from a few sources and the comments I've seen of some idiotic fans who have no patience, and no knowledge of football already slamming Mourinho and posting "Jose OUT" all over social media. Hopefully it is those 'supporters' that take a good look at this article'. I suggest wording your comments a little better, maybe not have a dig at anyone before they justify themselves is all. I have no doubts he will easily last till the end of the season, but if any manager loses possibly 3 successive losses to 6 successive losses, people begin the question. Understandable losses to teams of equal quality and value. Jose will shine through I believe anyway and do well with the club. Thanks again.

Mourinho needs to draw a line through Rooney and also Ronald McDonald's brother in the middle of the park........install Herrera and Mata as permanent fixtures and still keep praying for divine intervention......the man looks to have got it wrong with his setup and squad acquisitions.......another couple of straight losses and knives will be out big time.......couldn't happen to a nicer guy

I honestly have not read anything that has suggested his job is under pressure. Read the UK rags every day.

Two years is a bit ambitious...Give him another 3 successive losses and he'll be very wobbly.

This has to be one of the silliest headlines I've seen in a long time. United waited a year to sack Moyes, two years to sack van Gaal. So how long do you think they will give the manager with the best CV in football? There is no chance whatsoever that he won't last at least two years. Personally I think he will stay for a lot longer than that. He is a world class manager and there aren't many of those around. Once you have landed one you don't let them go.
