Matt Renshaw announces release of autobiography

In the ever-growing trend of cricketers releasing books, recent debutant Matt Renshaw has announced his biography would be available in book stores from Monday.

Titled A Century Too Far, the book will hit shelves just before the Christmas rush wraps up. Renshaw told fans and others gathered at the bookstore that the book’s release came after a long, long journey through the cricketing wilderness before becoming the household name that he is today.

“It’s been such a long journey”, stated a chuffed Renshaw, “I just wanted to share it with my hoards of fans”.

The 37-page biography tells the full story of the young man’s two Test matches, and 13 other First Class matches.

It’s a great read for any cricket fans out there.

The release comes just months after 24-year-old Englishman, Ben Stokes, released his biography which, based on the four copies sold, is just a tale about him punching locker doors in the change rooms.

Stokes has allegedly mocked Renshaw’s release in the English dressing room, after another solid contribution against India in the fifth Test.

Surprisingly Ian Chappell has criticised the announcement, which is considered odd due to his continued positive comments of the Australian cricket team and its set up.

“Back in my day you had to have had a long international career or be the second best player in your family to earn a book deal”, Chappelli said.

Lehmann believes Renshaw’s book will be a best seller, and is already negotiating a similar deal for his son Jake.

Pakistan coach Micky Arthur is believed have placed 16 copies on pre-order, with Pakistani team having been set a book report to complete in order to be considered for selection for the second Test.

Thanks Gareth for having the guts to address the real cricket issues. Chappelli must be livid!

Shame for Nic Maddinson. He had his book ready to hit the stores but it's being pulped as we speak.

Excellent. It will be a 'must read' on my Xmas list. If only Folau released a book on how he 'faced his demons' when he was in the ARL, my holidays would be perfect.
