The St George Illawarra Dragons powered their way towards another convincing win, emerging 26-6 victors over the Tigers.
The Tigers had plenty of opportunities to leave a mark in this contest, but time and tiem again they were frustrated by a Dragons side that kept their composure in defence and attack for 80 minutes.
It has been a painful past few rounds for Tigers fans and there is not much evidence to suggest that things are going to get better any time soon.
The Dragons meanwhile continue to build a platform for a successful 2017 season – an injury to Josh Dugan though does sour this victory somewhat.
Dugan has been ruled out for at least a week after suffering a hamstring injury in their 28-6 NRL win over the Wests Tigers on Sunday.
Dugan winced immediately at the end of a pursuit of a grubber kick midway through the second half at ANZ Stadium and immediately left the field.
Dragons coach Paul McGregor conceded being without the star fullback for next week’s clash against Manly, and possibly longer.
“No good, he’s hurt his hammy,” McGregor said post-game.
“I don’t know how bad it is but he felt it straight away, so we just have to gauge that tomorrow through a scan.
“But he won’t be right next week.”
Overall, the Dragons once again proved too tough upfront and too smart out wide against the Tigers and that was reflected on the scoreboard today.

Considering that Wests Tigers played with only 12 on the paddock it was a fair performance. Moses Suli, on work experience, watched the game from the left wing with zero contribution. I hope the young man recovers quickly from this devastating 80' of confidence crushing. He looked so lost and bewildered. The $1M colt may need a refresher kill in the bush.

Maybe the weight of all those tattoos had an affect on his hammy - when these people are in their 60's will they still like all that ink(tattoos)- don't have one never will
