Match preview:

The Wallabies were humbled by England last start, and lost to Scotland last time they met. They’ll be looking to even the ledger at Murrayfield on Sunday morning. Join The Roar for a live blog from 1:30am AEDT.

Scotland pushed the All Blacks all the way last weekend, and were desperately unlucky not to record a win against the world champions.

They’ll be licking their lips at the prospect of tackling Michael Cheika’s men, who will be themselves smarting from a drubbing at the hands of a clinical England outfit last start.

No Australia fan will easily forget what happened the last time these two sides met down under in June, with the Scots emerging as surprise victors.

Australian rugby was in a very different state at that time, however, recent wins over the All Blacks, and a solid rugby championship should buoy them to better things this time around.

In team news, Scotland have made four changes to the side that was downed 22-17 by the All Blacks last week.

Grant Gilchrist comes into the front row, whilst Ryan Wilson and Simon Berghan will bring some grunt to the pack, checking in at number(s) eight and five respectively.

The backline is unchanged bar Sean Maitland, who slots in on the left wing.

For Australia, Stephen Moore plays his final Test match, slotting back into the starting fifteen at hooker.

The other changes are on the bench, most notably with the inclusion of young gun Taniela Tupou at prop. Tetera Faulkner, Lukhan Tui, Lopeti Timani and Henry Speight all return on the pine.

Where the game will be won
Who wants it more?

It’s the last game of a gruelling 12-month window for both sides. It’s never going to be difficult to get up for a Test match, but it will be a test of tired bodies and minds as to who can dominate for extended periods of time, controlling the game.

It will be a tight contest. Whoever is genuinely up for it more, will win. Simple.

Prediction
Australia have a point to prove, while Scotland is in a purple patch at the moment. I think Cheika’s men are a better side, and will just nose the Scots in a close one.

Australia by 5

Rebellion, it is not going to happen. The Waratahs and Sydney control the ARU, and the Wallabies. They will not do it!!

I dunno what game you were watching but in the one against Scotland last night Foley was a liability and the Wallabies got thrashed.

Our worst disciplined player ever is Hooper. He is the most yellow carded player of all time, which makes him statistically our worst.

and reappointing Quade Cooper our worst disciplined player ever is going to remedy this issue how? Cooper fans amaze me, it wasn't like he hasn't been given a fair go. If he is the answer then I think the question must have been pretty dumb.

Wow I wasnt expecting that Perhaps we are looking at the next Lions Coach - Gregor Townsend came up with a game plan that nearly (perhaps should have) beaten the All Blacks And now he's smashed the Wallabies I hope they take this into the 6 Nations - I would love to see a Scottish Resurgence

Moore could have bowed out with a win over the All Blacks in front of his home crowd. Instead he played too many more games and ended it in a thumping loss to Scotland. That's an apt metaphor for his career as a Wallaby.

Haven't you got France? They've only managed to draw with Japan this evening...

The commentator summed it up correctly when he said words to the effect of 'whenever Scotland have the ball you think they're going to score'. The most depressing thing is that they did that to us without Hogg, who is probably their best player.

Agree with what Beale said when he said he was trying to drag it in, and spilling it in the attempt is one outcome of trying that. Anyway, its a dumb rule, you should be able to do that as long as it isnt forward.

Hopefully not as WB coach. Need to make the tough decision sooner rather than later for RWC. Well done Scotland.

I think that whoever is coach next year will have a better squad of players available to pick from when you consider returning players (Pocock, Lealiifano), players becoming eligible (Naisarani, Tupou), young guys on the up (Paia'aua, Uelese, Banks). I haven't made a secret of the fact I'm not overly enamoured with Cheika's and Grey's coaching, but I cannot see either stepping down before the next RWC. I am pretty certain our current coaching team will be the one taking us to the next RWC.

That defensive effort ranks up with the first Bledisloe in Sydney. We missed 33 tackles out of 99 attempts for a success rate of 67 percent. The Scots attempted 155 tackles and missed 20 - 87 percent completion rate. The Scots targeted Beale under the high ball and found gaps on our wings. I would be interested if Nick Bishop did a piece on Gregor Townsend's tactics against us.
