The 2018 Commonwealth Games, held on the Gold Coast, will be the biggest sporting event on Australian soil since the nation’s last chance to host, back in 2006. This is The Roar‘s guide to watching every event of the games on TV or streaming them online.
The Commonwealth Games will begin with the opening ceremony on Wednesday, April 4 at 7pm (AEST). Competition across all sports will begin on the following day, with Badminton, Gymnastics and Lawn Bowls all beginning at 9am (AEST).
Competition across 18 different sports, with 275 individual events (including para-sports) will then continue across 11 days before the closing ceremony then commences at 7:30pm (AEST) on Sunday, April 15.
Multiple venues around the Gold Coast will be in use, as well as others around Queensland, basketball being played as far away as Townsville and Cairns.

Channel 7 can be found on Channel 70 in high definition and 71 in standard definition. 7TWO can be found on Channel 72, while 7Mate is on 73. If you are watching from Foxtel, you’ll be looking for 107, 127 and 188 respectively.
