Sharks vs Stormers: Super Rugby live scores

By Scott Pryde / Expert

The Sharks and Stormers will both look to reverse their fortunes and keep in touch with the top of the South African conference when they clash in Round 10. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 1:15am (AEST).

The Sharks are a shell of the team that ran 63 points up on the Blues a few weeks ago. While that was a solid performance in attack, they let in 40 points, and that defensive deficiency has been more prominent as their attack abandoned them.

While they had a one-point loss at home to the Hurricanes in Round 8, it seemed to sap all the confidence out of them last week, as the Bulls ran over the top of them, 40-10.

Their offence was non-existent and defence not much better in a crucial game, which would have made qualifying for the finals – even at this point of the season – that little bit easier down the stretch.

The Sharks and Stormers are currently sitting third and fourth in the South African conference respectively, well behind the Lions, who lead. With wildcard positions up for grabs though, every game is still important.

The Stormers will be the fresher team, having had a bye last week, but they had two straight losses before that, including conceding 50 against the Lions in their last outing.

Prediction
Neither team have been playing well, but the Sharks have home-ground advantage and should be able to make that count for something.

Sharks by 6.

I think the Stormers and Sharks lack good coaching pickett. Both teams have some great players yet they don't play cohesive rugby. Can only put that down to coaching.

Harry and Biltong It looks to me that it's the Veldt boys who are playing with the wind in their hair, while the Coastal boys are plodding. Kinda ironic as you'd usually associate surf, flair, wind, freedom, flamboyance and expression together. The stereotype is reversed?

Harry you know if the rumour wrt Fleckie and Wakefield leaving soon are true and changes on the way?How big the changes are I have my doubts. But apparrently Dobbo is line to replace Fleck as he is set to go Ospreys.Wonder if making Feeney HC instead of Dobbo would help?Any thoughts?Wakefield imo is just a trogvark.
