By The Roar / Editor

The WBBL is back for its fourth season, with all eight teams back and set to participate in a full home-and-away round robin which will finish with stand-alone finals for the first time. This is The Roar‘s guide to streaming every match online or watching them on TV this summer.

The season, which gets underway with all eight sides involved on opening weekend at Junction Oval in Victoria, will receive unprecedented coverage this season under Cricket Australia’s new TV deal.

The Perth Scorchers will take on the Hobart Hurricanes in the opening game on Saturday, December 1 at 10:40am (AEDT).

How to watch the WBBL on TV

In a major jump up for the WBBL this season, the coverage of matches will go up to 23. Under the new Cricket Australia TV deal, those games will be simulcast on Fox Sports and Channel 7. A full list of those games can be found at the bottom of this article.

To watch the coverage on Fox Sports, you will need to tune into Fox Cricket on Channel 501 and have a valid Foxtel TV subscription complete with the sports package.

The coverage on Channel 7 will be on free to air TV through Channel 70 in high definition or 71 in standard definition, however, this will include ads during play.

How to live stream the WBBL online

There are numerous ways to stream the WBBL online during its fourth season.

The first of those will be to use any of the three Foxtel applications available.

The newest player on the market of those three could be a game changer for live streaming sport in Australia. Kayo Sports allows you to stream the cricket (and all of Foxtel’s sports channels) for $25 per month.

The other two Foxtel alternatives are as they have always been. The Foxtel App is the better option if you already have a TV subscription, while Foxtel Now is the way to go if you only want to stream Foxtel channels.

Those games not being broadcast by Seven and Fox Sports will be available as a free live stream on the Cricket Australia website and app.
