Newcastle Knights coach Nathan Brown has offered some advice for NSW coach Brad Fittler after the Blues Game 1 loss at Suncorp Stadium.
Amid speculation surrounding whether Cody Walker should be dropped for a playmaker such as Knights veteran Mitchell Pearce, Brown says there would be little use bringing the former Rooster in unless he’s given the chance to dominate the ball.
Brown – whose Knights scored a 20-12 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs to kick off Round 13 – believes the issue for Fittler is that he has “two five-eighths” and whether it suits the style of game Fittler wishes to play.
While Pearce couldn’t quite extend his run of five man-of-the-match awards to the win over South Sydney, he has been a crucial part of the Knights system which has in turn notched up six wins in-a-row.

Pearce was killing them in club footy but didn't make the step up to Origin.

Replace Clear, he played worse than Cody, most out of form halfback this year, Pearce or Reynolds in as half is the real change needed
