Jurgen Klopp is a man with loads of faith and hope. We’ve seen that in his interviews and his towering personality exudes nothing but positivity. He manages to translate that into all his squads that he has managed from Mainz to Liverpool.
Klopp’s men never give up. Last-minute winners have become a huge thing under Klopp, coming from behind to nick a game or even beating teams when everyone has drawn premature conclusions.

It’s been a couple of days since Alisson Becker scored a towering last-second header to help Liverpool win a must-win game. He was the first goalkeeper to score a competitive goal for Liverpool, and the first goalkeeper to score a winning goal in the English Premier League.
Records and memories being created during a drab season is a Liverpool thing. Another Liverpool thing is that they never make it easy for themselves. There is no fun in that, is there?
Keeping that in mind, here are a few goals and moments that prove that Jurgen Klopp has instilled a never-give-up attitude in his Liverpool players. Also, let’s not discount the power of Anfield.
Dejan Lovren versus Dortmund, 2015-16
Anfield is always known to have wonderful European nights. Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have called Anfield the most intimidating atmosphere to play in for an away team. Well, this was a highly dramatic comeback at Anfield. Liverpool beat Borussia Dortmund 4-3 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate in their Europa League quarter-final. That win gave them the impetus to reach the final, only to lose to Sevilla.
Sadio Mane versus Everton, 2016-17
All goals against local rivals Everton are special, especially because it keeps reminding them that they need to do a lot to catch up with Liverpool. They might bask in the glory of doing well against Liverpool this season, but yet again, they went from title contenders in the first four weeks to once again finishing below Liverpool like usual. In this particular goal, Mane was quick to pounce on the opportunity to ensure that Liverpool won the game within the dying embers.

Divock Origi versus Barcelona, 2018-19
Liverpool broke Barcelona in this game. They’ve never been the same after. They were cocky with their tweets, and overconfident in the way they approached the game, not knowing what Liverpool were capable of. This was a game where Liverpool were not full strength. Liverpool gave them a reality check. After losing 3-0 in the first leg, Liverpool beat them 4-0 at Anfield.
Alisson versus West Brom, 2020-21
There are no words to express this moment. No words will do it justice, except something Peter Drury might say. If there was a moment that a goalkeeper needed to prove his ability of heading the ball into his opponents’ goal, this was it.

I thought while on the subject of LFC, you might want to know that they have an A -league license. This has been in the making for the past couple of years, with plans also been approved for a new stadium in Liverpool on the Hume Hwy. To date they have signed 8 players and some coaching staff. There is also plans underway for an academy and training center on a 50 acre site in austral. Does this effect other Sydney clubs fan base ? I think this can only be good for the league, having LFC will be a massive draw for some world class players, including a world class academy with some great coaching staff, this to can only be good for our young players.

I respect your opinion John, but Liverpool have scored just six penalties (4th highest) this season, while eight (2nd most) have been awarded against them. United, Chelsea and Leicester have gotten more penalties and goals from those penalties than Liverpool. The late goal by Alisson was a brilliant goal. As for late goals, LFC we’re denied wins against Newcastle and Leeds because of conceding late goals rather than scoring them. But I do feel they LFC are back in great form having been unbeaten over the last 8/9 games and will be making it into the top 4 at the expense of Leicester. But then, only time will tell.

I’m barracking for Burnley tomorrow & hopefully the arrogant Scousers will be denied a place in the Champions League next year. They have been blessed lately with being awarded penalties & scoring late goals however match officials can only help them so much.
