NRL Round 13 teams: Eels dump Ferguson, Dragons shuffle backline

By The Roar / Editor

The NRL Round 13 teams have been revealed, and it’s the Parramatta Eels making the biggest splash after dropping Blake Ferguson.

The once-Origin level winger has been left out of Brad Arthur’s side altogether ahead of Sunday’s must-win clash with Newcastle. Haze Dunster has taken his spot in the side, while the Eels will welcome back Dylan Brown and Reagan Campbell-Gillard.

Origin duty is the reason behind most of this week’s other changes, although Anthony Griffin has shuffled his backs ahead of Thursday’s clash with the Broncos. Matt Dufty and Mikaele Ravalawa are back at fullback and wing, respectively, while Brayden Wiliame shifts into the centres, Cody Ramsey moves to the wing and Jack Bird rejoins the forwards. Billy Burns and Jordan Pereira have both been dropped, while Jack de Belin will play first game in several years after being named on the bench.

I've tipped Panthers, Tigers never play well two weeks on the trot

Ferguson should consider going back to Bondi if such an opportunity exists. He was replaced by BMorris but now that Brett is out, he is a much better alternative to Ikuvalu.

So happy to see Nicho find success. Pretty good contract. He has had a longer road to NRL success. Watched his debut jersey presentation from his brother and he talked about the times he wanted to give it up slogging away at Qcup but he would call his family and theyd encourage him to keep going. Well deserved and I hope he goes great at the Sharkies.

Yeah Finucane would be another good buy.I note Bellamy still yet to decide his future. These 2 could be the advance party for the big general to follow

Form is up, but too late for the new coach it seems. He might be a decent #14 covering halves and #1. Rumour is that you are close to getting another big name from Storm – solid forward also.

Not sure about that DP,depends on whether he will take a haircut for next year .His form has improved from last year.It also depends on what happens with SJ – the Sharks may not be able to afford him

Wow. Reynolds to Broncos, Addo-Carr and Burton to the Dogs, Hynes to the Sharks. So much chasing dollars to go to an underperforming team. If they only know that they were only a year away from being told they’re overpaid and unwanted again.

Chalk one up for the Sharkies, apparently he's in the '6', so it's Moylan on the outer.

An interesting thought that.. I was a supporter of the Hook appointment. Can’t say I’ve totally gone off him, but his solutions for a Dufty-less Dragons sucketh at the moment.

Looking another week ahead, both Walsh and Pompey have accepted their one match bans, so won’t take on the Storm. That’s a bit disappointing.

It was 38-0 last year, so maybe Parra have improved! I know after last year’s drubbing they continued to beat the teams below them, and lose to teams above. Don’t think this year is much different. I don’t see the Knights were pretty ordinary in winning last week. I don’t see them beating too many other teams.
