Round 10 wraps up with the North Melbourne Kangaroos looking to make it two wins on the trot against the sporadic Essendon Bombers. Tune into events from Marvel Stadium with live scores on The Roar from 4:40pm (AEDT).

It’s official: the Roos won’t be the first team since Fitzroy in 1964 to go through a VFL-AFL season without a win. The monkey was removed from the back with a thrilling 7-point win over fellow battlers Hawthorn in Tasmania last week, securing David Noble his first points in charge.

However, Melbourne-based North fans haven’t seen a win live since August, 2019. They’ll be hoping the good form they’ve displayed recently can see them rise off the bottom of the ladder.

They may have only won three matches, but the Bombers have shown signs of a bright future thus far in 2021. Under new coach Ben Rutten, the Dons have played some electric footy, ranking third in the league for points heading into the round. Stopping the likes of Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti, Cale Hooker and surprise packet Harrison Jones will be a tough ask for the Roos’ unheralded backline.

McDonald-Tipungwuti in particular has form in breaking Kangaroo hearts, having kicked a last-gasp winner to clinch a thrilling match back in 2019. The task might fall to captain Jack Ziebell, now permanently stationed across half-back, to ensure the fan favourite Bomber doesn’t have another day out.

Ninth by percentage. Hawks in round 23 will defeat them by 2 points. I’ll feel bad for Sven and Dave. The others... nahhh

So a good pumping by the Eagles next week and an eighty two point belting of the Tigers the week after?

I have a question for you doggy. At the end of the year, would you prefer that the Tigers where eleventh or twelfth or that they came ninth and just missed out on percentage to GWS. And don’t complicate it with the blue ones.

If it was Toby or Lynch, it would be four. Just bizarre. I suspect he was trying to punch the ball, but it was seconds and half a metre out.
